A Little Advanced Technique in Advance

Shot this today for MizzouRec, we're working on several "directs" which are basically four pages of information on a certain program offered or the Rec Center in general. This one is for Lifetime Health Performance, ballet is one of the courses offered. We tried several different poses and this one turned out to be the most striking. Look for this at the Rec soon, it'll be on the cover.

I got to shake Senator Barack Obama's hand, as well as get my issue of Rolling Stone (with his face on it) autographed. I didn't shoot for anyone and I couldn't move an inch, but this is what I got.

MizzouRec (my job) Pt. 2

I know I know. I suck at updating this blog. Here are some shots from my job to keep you happy. I call the third one down, "Evolution of Man."

The Pinnacles

My friend Kevin and I went out to Pinnacles Youth Park (which sounds kind of like a Mormon camp, but don't worry, it's not). We thought we were going to have to do some intense hiking in order to get to this giant rock formation. Turns out you just park your car and walk about 100 feet. The real challenge was scaling this huge rock. And me being moderately afraid of heights, and having no rock climbing experience did not help. But, we made it to the top and when I wasn't clutching onto the side of the rock for dear life I got a few shots. These are the best. Hope you enjoy.

Continuous Stream of Photos

This is probably the last day of shooting before everyone goes back to work and school. I might be doing character shots this coming week, hopefully... The next time I have the chance to shoot is Labor Day weekend. I really enjoyed doing this and found a lot of portfolio pieces, and am hoping these shots will help me this coming year with internship applications.

More Movie Biz

Finally back in town, and finally made it back to the film shoot. Only one day left of shooting before everyone goes back to school and work. More pics after Saturday. (13 days until I'm back in Columbia!)

My Filters Bring All the Boys to the Yard

For the past five years I have gone to Chicago every summer as part of a team from my church youth group to help out Armitage Baptist Church. This year I went as a leader. Definitely a different experience leading students rather than being the student. I didn't take as many pictures this year compared to last year, but I feel like I got some good shots. I also wanted to change it up this year. The editing process was more intense and a bit more exotic, did some vignetting and Phoebe-Sexton-copyrighted black bordering. All of them are on my flickr.

Day 4 and 5

The past two shoot days have been a bit slower for me. I feel like I've gotten a majority of the shots that I need, so I'm shooting a lot less. I'm mainly trying to find more diversity in the shots and I'm aiming for more screen shots, Rotten Tomatoes style. More to come next week, then I'm off to South Carolina for my sister's wedding (maybe some photos from that) and then Chicago (which I'll definitely have photos from).

Day Three

Third day of shooting went well. I'm exhausted, but ready for another day of shooting tomorrow. Hoping it won't rain 'cause I need some more diverse shots.

MORE Pictures?!

Day two of "The Time Closet". I didn't shoot as much today but still produced a lot of good shots. More to come tomorrow!
