The Houses are Smiling at You

I made an attempt today to photograph suburbia. I grew up in the middle of the woods (literally), so suburban life is something rather odd to me. You people with your trash collection, neighborhood watches and lawn care. Here is my idea of suburbia (probably more shots to come in the next few days).







I've never liked the idea of driving down a road with signs saying "dead" on it.

After Hours

I had fun tonight shooting Stankowski Field. Every first Wednesday of each month, the Rec turns off the lights to save energy and so the Astronomy classes can see the sky.

I did this my junior year of high school in my graphic design/photography class. Assignment was to find any book and create a completely new cover for it. Photos and design are all mine. I chose this book obviously for the irony in the photographs. Won a "gold key" level award in the Scholastic Art Awards at the Tennessee level.

Looking at it now, I see different ways I could have improved on it.
